About Us
This site began with a dream, or nightmare, depending on your perspective. I entered a penitentiary otherwise called Corporate America shortly after college and almost fell victim to a plague known as Corporate Zombism. Corporate Zombism is an insidious malady affecting hundreds of thousands of unsuspecting people worldwide. A clever form of brainwashing, Corporate Zombism feeds on an individual’s innate need for tribal acceptance. In this case, the tribe robs you of anything individual, creative, reasonable, or contrary to the specific Corporate Dogma that prevails where you are employed.
This is my story of escape.
I met two other Zombies at this penitentiary. Surrounded by gray walls, gray people, and even gray thought (hey, I’m a creative type and corporate thought escapes me most of the time), I couldn’t help but notice that Zombie2 had a bright purple aura and that Zombie3’s was not only pink but sparkly. Despite the relentless attempts at programming us as corporate automatons, Zombie2 Zombie3 and I became friends and bonded in our efforts at defense. We regularly drank a potent detoxifying agent known as Zombie Juice Starbucks espresso and further shielded ourselves by dressing in brightly colored t-shirts treated with a Zombie preventative and reading The Onion.
Stronger as a trio, we escaped the clutches of the evil corporate overlords and developed this site as our “last great hope” to help others also escape the nefarious Zombie virus. Since communication is key to our survival, we encourage you to share with us your experiences with the dreaded Zombie virus, your methods of remedy, and any conduits for escape you have developed.
We also encourage you to buy a shirt to show your solidarity against this plague and, moreover, to protect yourself. Hey, they worked for us. Besides, the profits from our shirts will help to keep us out of our day jobs (we prefer the night shift), maybe sponsor a zombie plotting an escape, build this movement, and spread joy, laughter, and hope to the Zombie community.
